Trade Apprentice under Apprenticeship Act.
1961 at Metro Railway, Kolkata for the year 2017-2018.
Employment Notice No- 01/2017/ Metro Railway / Kolkata dated : 21.12.16
No of apprentices to be engaged - 15+2 (St Shortfall) (UR-7; SC- 2; ST'-1;OBC-4; PH-1)
Trade wise distribution-
Read as Designated Trade Number - Period of Training
Candidates of other Trades need not apply.
Age- 15 to 24 years of age as 01.02.2017.
Upper age limit is realaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates 10 years for PH and 3 years for OBC Candidates.
Stipend : Stipend will be paid as per extant rules during the training period.
Selection method : The final merit list will be prepared equal to number of slots in the descending order of percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in Madhyamik or its equivalent examination . Apprentices shall be called for verification of the original testimonials and their physical fitness.
Processing fees : RS 40 to be paid in crossed I.P.O in favour of FA & CAO Metro Railway.
Kolkata payable at GPO/ Kolkata should be attached with application as fees which is not refundable under any circumstances . SC/ST/PH/Women/ Minorities/Economically Backward candidates are exempted for paying fees.
IPO Should be purchased on or after 21.12.16 Copies of all certificates viz. proof of date of birth, educational/ technical Qualification Certificate, Caste Certificate, Ex- serviceman certificate, OBC certificate / Creamy Layer etc. duly attested by a Gazetted Officer of Central or State Govt. and must bear officer seal and name of attesting officer should be submitted along with the application.
Two self addressed envelopes (10'"x5") and One passport size recent photograph signed across top of the photograph duly attested will be fixed in the space provided in the application and call center after passing the course of act Apprenticeship Trainee there will be "No Guarantee for their employment in the railways"
Application and call letter as per the format given below must be submitted in foolscap paper duly filled in all respect by the candidates in his / her own handwriting with ball pen and addressed to the Deputy Chief Personnel Officer, Metro Rail Bhavan, 33/1, J.L.Nehru Road Kolkata- 700071 and send by post or should be dropped in the box kept in P.R.O Section, Metro Rail Bhavan, Ground Floor, 33/1; J.L. Nehru Road, Kolkata-700071 from 10:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs except Saturday, Sunday and Holiday within 24.01.2017
Envelope containing application should be superscribed on top as - Application for Training under Apprenticeship Act "
